Saturday Fun!

Let's flash back to the week we were in Ottawa.  I got an e-mail from Drew's soccer coach telling us that his make-up team photo day was going to be the morning of June 25.  James immediately put it in his calendar and set a reminder alarm to go off on our phones the morning of June 25th.  I rolled my eyes when he did this, thinking to myself that we didn't need the alarm there was no way I would forget.

Flash forward to this morning.  I was exhausted, barely awake, walking in Hunter's room to grab some clothes for him and wondering what I should do with the kids today.

The f-ing alarm went off on my phone, reminding me about the soccer photos!  Thank god James had set it!  We went into "crazy" mode and rushed to get out of the house in 30 minutes.

We did it.....and without the use of "many" swear words.

The photos went off without a hitch, and (hopefully) will be super cute.

The photographer was genius though.....the spots where the kids were getting their pictures taken were roped off, so parents couldn't get close enough to snap their own photos!

The closest I could get
After the photos, James went to work and I took the kids to Walmart to get some groceries.

Hunter fell asleep on the way home, so Drew and I hung out for the morning.  We made cupcakes, as it's my parents 35th anniversary today and Drew wanted to do something special for them.

My dad booked a hotel for my parents this evening in Niagara falls, so on their way, they stopped in for some play time with the boys.

Enjoying their anniversary cupcakes (H was still asleep during this photo)
Hunter's awake!
Once Nana and Papa left, the boys and I played outside with the new toys that they had brought them (a water gun and a bubble gun).  After some fun times in our yard, the boys wanted to head up to Nana and Papa's (my parents had suggested that we go there and play, even if they weren't there)....so off we went.  The gator and the trampoline were the toys of choice this evening.

Drew fell asleep on the drive home and Hunter went fairly easily to bed.......

A great day!

Happy anniversary mom and dad...we love you SOOOOO much!!!
