For father's day this year, we let James sleep in. Believe me, sleeping in is worth it's weight in gold around our house.
Once James was up, we headed to Hilton Falls for a hike. It was a gorgeous day and we spent the entire morning hiking to the falls and back, stopping along the way to look for frogs and such. We made a fire at the falls and toasted some marshmallows....delicious!
Hunter fell asleep on our hike out, so once we got in the van, we drove to pick up some lunch and then headed home.
James had basketball, so right before he left, he shaved Drew's head....his hair was getting crazy!
Once H woke from his nap, I packed the boys into the van and we headed to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Father's day up there. James was to join us for dinner, as he was heading into work after basketball to finish some things up - he didn't get there until almost 8 (I was a bit bitter, but that's a whole other story!).
Dinner was yummy, we had bbq and I had picked up 2 mini-cakes for dessert. There was a melt-down at the grocery store, as Drew had picked out a buzz-lightyear cake for Papa, but when we went to ask the person behind the counter if we could have it, the person in front of us bought it. Grrrrrr
Happy Father's day!!
