The Bonney's take on Ottawa - Thursday

Is it Thursday already?

Crazy.

I asked Drew what he wanted to do today.  I was out of ideas.  He said, "nothing, I just want to stay here and play".

Fair enough, I've been running them like crazy.

So, that's what we did for the day.

This is how we started the morning....

And we kept that attitude throughout the whole day.

We played in our room, we went swimming (for quite a while), we had lunch with James at a pub called "Sir John A" (which was delicious!) and then we walked to the park.

Hunter slept through lunch again.

It was super hot today, so I wasn't sure how the park would go over, but it was mostly shaded so the boys had a blast.

There was a little boy at the park around Drew's age, so we stayed there for several hours while Drew played with this little boy in their own world of make-believe (Drew bringing H along on their journey without me asking him to, which makes me so happy).

There was a Max milk across the street from the park, so we stopped for popsicles for the walk home.

We met James back at the room at 5 and then we were off to have dinner with my aunt and uncle in Kanata.

It was great to see them, dinner was super yummy (burgers and hot-dogs) and the boys were really well behaved (woohoo!).

We thought the boys would fall asleep on the drive back from Kanata (as H had fallen asleep in my arms during dessert).

No such luck.

They did both fall asleep easily though, which is the next best thing.

Another great day in Ottawa.
