Since the last post....

We have....

 Bought new shoes.
Swung on our swing with Nana.
 Sponge painted.
 Had dinner with our friends.
Had McFlurries (and then puked in the restaurant afterwards - that was particularly awesome).
Worked together to clean up Nana and Papa's garden.
 Got hair-cuts.

 The hair-cuts turned into faux-hawks.

Slept in a big boy bed for the first time (April 20, 2012)

Bought our first butter tarts from our favourite butter tart bakery.
Had our first visit to the cottage and set up our first bunk-bed there.

 Had a pedicure.
 -Dressed as a female pirate.
 Made a rock-band.
 Stamped with fruit and vegetables.
 Celebrated Grandpa's birthday.

Graduated from another session of gymnastics.

 Got some new monster trucks.
 Hung out with Nana.
Let the cows out to pasture.

This week included...

celebrating James' birthday with dinner out at East side marios with the Archdekins.

Giving a stranger a slight heart-attack at Costco.  While we were there, the boys wanted to play in the shed that they have set up there.  I didn't see any issue with that, so in they went.  After a few minutes they asked me to come in, so I obliged.  We closed the door, the boys were playing and then a man opened the door to see inside the shed.  He was not expecting anyone to be inside the shed and screamed like a little girl.

It was pretty funny.

Date night for James and I.  We went to see 21 Jump Street and then went out for dinner.  The boys stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.

I am half asleep.  I loaded the pics onto this post a couple of days ago, thinking I'd go back later and add the words.  I log into blogger and was tricked into using my brain!  The nerve.  It's all different.  Excuse me if things are all messed up here today!

Anyways....Bonney family Easter egg fun/James' birthday celebration.  Twas a good time.  James' side of the family came over for lunch and then stayed for dinner.  We did a giant egg hunt in the yard (thank you weather for cooperating).  My sister in law went a bit crazy buying chocolate.  It was my own fault.  We scheduled the party after Easter, so everything was on sale....god knows the girl loves a sale!  lol

The pics...

We decided to put the correct number of candles on the cake.  We will not do this next year, it was freaking HOT carrying it in to the birthday boy.

Happy birthday James!

The kids put on a karate show.  It was hilarious.  Hunter especially.  You can just see the top of Grandma's head in the bottom of the photo.  He would dance around all quick and then kick her.  Too funny.

That's it!  Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

It seems I have finally caught my breath after the crazy weekend that we had....it felt like we were always on the go!

Unfortunately, James worked the entire weekend.  Can I say that there are some days that I HATE his job.  At least he was around and awake for the Easter bunny's arrival and the boys were able to share that with him....I'm a wee bit bitter.

Anyways...here is a summary of our fun-filled weekend!

Friday

We started out decorating eggs early Friday morning.  James had gone out the night before and purchased white eggs so that we could properly dye them.  The boys were antsy to give the dye a whirl.

The brown ones were given a coat of paint.
Once the eggs were all coloured and James had left for work, the boys and I headed over to Mountsberg for their egg-stravaganza/maple syrup festival.

We did the egg hunt and Hunter wound up winning the special prize.  On top of his candy, he also received a stuffed bear - super exciting!

We had pancakes for lunch!

This would have been Drew's job years ago.  If you were tall enough to carry the buckets without them touching the ground, you were put to work.

As we so often do when James is working, we headed to Nana and Papa's place after Mountsberg.  All of the Thomas the train paraphernalia was retrieved from the basement and is now taking up their entire house.

Saturday

Found us at the skating rink for Drew's lessons and then the boys and I headed to Nana and Papa's where I dropped H off.  Drew and I then left from there to head to a birthday party for a friend of Drew's from school.  It was held at the boys' gymnastics centre....Drew had a great time.

Drew received these rackets in his loot bag.....hours of fun.

Sunday morning the Easter bunny came and left this note.

It would have been wise for the Easter bunny to have left a treat or two with the note and the empty baskets.  Drew came flying downstairs and only saw the empty baskets.....I'm sure his heart broke in that moment.

I was right behind him yelling - "there's a note, there's a note".....it was pretty funny.

The Easter bunny found playmobil eggs....super exciting!

The boys' new obsession is mouse trap.

Got this idea from Pinterest.  Made display boards for their Disney pins.  We had them on lanyards up until now, but they would fall off whenever the boys wanted to look at their pins.  This way they can see them easily and they will stay in place.

The boys gift from my parents....

Sunday afternoon we went to my aunt and uncle's farm in Erin.  We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed spending time with them.  The boys were thrilled with a tree at the front of their property that was perfect for climbing.

Can you tell they are sisters???  lol

More mousetrap
Monday found Drew at a friend's house for a playdate and H and I at Nana and Papa's for the afternoon.

That's about it.  Happy Easter!
