It seems I have finally caught my breath after the crazy weekend that we had....it felt like we were always on the go!
Unfortunately, James worked the entire weekend. Can I say that there are some days that I HATE his job. At least he was around and awake for the Easter bunny's arrival and the boys were able to share that with him....I'm a wee bit bitter.
Anyways...here is a summary of our fun-filled weekend!
Friday
We started out decorating eggs early Friday morning. James had gone out the night before and purchased white eggs so that we could properly dye them. The boys were antsy to give the dye a whirl.
The brown ones were given a coat of paint. |
We did the egg hunt and Hunter wound up winning the special prize. On top of his candy, he also received a stuffed bear - super exciting!
We had pancakes for lunch! |
This would have been Drew's job years ago. If you were tall enough to carry the buckets without them touching the ground, you were put to work. |
As we so often do when James is working, we headed to Nana and Papa's place after Mountsberg. All of the Thomas the train paraphernalia was retrieved from the basement and is now taking up their entire house.
Saturday
Found us at the skating rink for Drew's lessons and then the boys and I headed to Nana and Papa's where I dropped H off. Drew and I then left from there to head to a birthday party for a friend of Drew's from school. It was held at the boys' gymnastics centre....Drew had a great time.
Drew received these rackets in his loot bag.....hours of fun.
Sunday morning the Easter bunny came and left this note.
It would have been wise for the Easter bunny to have left a treat or two with the note and the empty baskets. Drew came flying downstairs and only saw the empty baskets.....I'm sure his heart broke in that moment.
I was right behind him yelling - "there's a note, there's a note".....it was pretty funny.
The Easter bunny found playmobil eggs....super exciting! |
The boys' new obsession is mouse trap. |
The boys gift from my parents....
Sunday afternoon we went to my aunt and uncle's farm in Erin. We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed spending time with them. The boys were thrilled with a tree at the front of their property that was perfect for climbing.
Can you tell they are sisters??? lol |
More mousetrap |
That's about it. Happy Easter!
