The Perfect Day

It was.

Seriously.

We started off our day with gymnastics.  I LOVE gymnastics, and so do my kids!  We just took out another mortgage to sign them up for another 10 weeks after this session ends (ok, not really, but pretty freaking close...man are kids programs expensive!)

We hit Timmy's after gymnastics with Nana for a quick snack and then James brought the kids home and I went on to work (I supplied at Pineview this afternoon).  While I was at work, James took the boys swimming (what a brave dad!).

They had fun.

Drew was thrilled to find that our long-lost barn cat (baby Tabbers) had returned.

Drew had a dentist appt at 3 today (where I met up with the boys after I was done work).  No cavities!  YAY!!

After the dentist, we all headed over to the library to return our books and pick out some new ones.

From there it was off to Erin Mills where I had my first facial ever (I had bought a wagjag for one a while back and had to use it by November.

It was nice, but I wouldn't want to pay full price for one.  Wasn't a HUGE fan of having all of that gunk on my face.  It was supposed to end in a make-up application, but I respectfully declined.  Didn't want my family to not recognize me!

yoiks!
Once my facial was done, James took us all out to East Side Mario's for dinner (where my kids were angels!).

A perfect day!!!

James goes back to work tomorrow, so it's back to reality.

Happy Tuesday!

Quick week in review - Wednesday to Monday

We are library-aholics.
This banner took the boys about a week to finally say, "we're done" and is now hanging proudly in the playroom.

The boys and I had dinner out at Boston Pizza with some other mommy friends.

We went to Wonderland in the cold/rain, resulting in no one being there and the kids practically having the run of the place (you'll also notice that now both boys are wearing their fire-fighting suits everywhere).

Awesome.

We did the Halloween treasure hunt for the first time...you can imagine how excited the kids were.

Even more excited when their cousins joined them.

Hunter went on this ride by himself....seriously, it was that dead.

Julia joined him on this one.

After a day of Wonderland every good mother needs some wine....and even in a wine glass!  Wowzers!

Muffins for playgroup friends.

After playgroup, James returned home (he left immediately after the first mommy arrived, lol) and took us out to the Ivy Arms for lunch.

I'm obsessed with Pinterest and copied this idea off of someone there.  It makes me smile.

And the good times keep on a comin'.....

The long weekend kept on going for everyone in our family except for my husband, and presumably my brother, but I'm not 100% sure if he had to work too.  While I do love his schedule a lot of the time, I dislike it when he has to work on holidays.  That's my pity party and it's over now.  Moving on...

Monday we picked Nana and Papa up and headed into Erin to enjoy all of the fun things a fall fair has to offer.

The ridiculous cost of attending a fall fair always feels like a punch to the gut.  It's almost like I've never been to one before and am surprised each year when I see the prices.  Am very glad we went though, the boys had a great time and so did my parents and I.  Drew's highlight was when Papa won the 2 monster trucks, but looking back at the pictures, I think both the boys had a great time with everything!

We spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with Nana and Papa, hitting McDonald's for lunch (it's Monopoly time, so Papa was THRILLED that we went there), taking the gator out for some more adventures and just plain having fun.

This place is gorgeous in the fall.

I gave Hunter a bath and he slipped away from me as I was drying him.  This is where I found him...couldn't resist taking a photo.
Tuesday was gymnastics day.  James came too, allowing me the opportunity to watch a bit of Drew's class.  Normally I'm participating with Hunter in his parent and tot class, so I don't get to watch Drew very much.

I liked what I saw!

The boys and I headed to Timmy's with Nana (James had to go to work) and then to the grocery store with her.  We parted ways, so H could have a nap at home.

After H's nap, the 3 of us headed to Hilton falls for a hike.

I neglected to take the stroller with me, so I had H on my hip for a lot of the way, making for a pretty tiring walk, but it was worth it.

After Hilton falls, we went straight to Nana and Papa's for a few hours.

A perfect start to the week!
